The Fondation FRANCES, which supports contemporary art as a living creation that bears witness to an era, is moving its exhibition “Tout est politique!” from Clichy to Senlis. Housed in a medieval residence, the exhibition takes on a more intimate feel. The aim is that, faced with installations, paintings, photos and performances by 40 committed international artists, visitors should feel emotionally and physically, and evolve in their points of view.

The exhibition reveals the processes and tactics of influence, and the tangible impact of power on our lives. It highlights the underlying tensions of our societies: relationships of domination, surveillance mechanisms, subtle or overt violence.

Everything is political ” invites visitors to take a watchful, analytical stance. We’re not looking for amazement, but the emergence of critical awareness and the opportunity for resistance.

Featured artists: Adel Abdessemed, Carlos Aires, Willem Andersson, Vladimir Anselm, Nasser Bakhshi, Neïl Beloufa, Barton Lidice Benes, Gilles Caron, Philippe Chancel, Andy Denzler, Raymond Depardon, Subodh Gupta, Greg Haberny, Debora Hirsch, Alain Josseau, Naji Kamouche, Youcef Korichi, Rachel Labastie, Dorothea Lange, Senzeni Marasela, Filip Markiewicz, Antoni Miralda, Roghayeh Najdi, Stéphane Pencréac’h, Gilles Saussier, Leszek Skurski, Gavin Turk.
