Michel Verjux

Michel Verjux made a name for himself in the 1980s with a body of work focusing on light and perception. After exploring drawing, poetry and performance art, he turned to the visual arts in 1983, using lighting as his main medium.

Believing that “to illuminate is already to exhibit”, Michel Verjux works with spotlights, creating beams of white light that transform architecture and reveal volumes. His minimalist, immersive works question the visible and the invisible, playing with walls, floors and facades.
