For around 15 years, the RUINART Champagne house has been collaborating with internationally renowned artists. After commissioning architect Sou Fujimoto to design its transparent Ruinart pavilion, the famous Champagne house is collaborating with Tadashi Kawamata in 2026.
The artist, attached to the energy of nature and its greatest demonstrations, draws his inspiration from meteorological phenomena, cyclones and the earth in motion. After exhibiting his “tornado” at the Palais de Tokyo, he will now install it at Ruinart’s headquarters in Reims.
A work made entirely of wood, new wood, recycled wood, in all shapes and sizes, which he leaves to his teams to produce the final result. True to Kawamata’s style, this poetic work explores the relationship between man, space and nature.
The artistic structure is part of the “Conversations with Nature” program and will be on view from May 2026 at RUINART’s headquarters in Reims.
